Day 9 ! BLAAAHH

9 Days. I feel like I have been at this longer! But if you read my blogs you would know today I'm having a "Fuck it" kind of day. I am very stressed out over money right now, but who isn't, other than the rich that have no clue what it's like to be stressed for real. I have literally handed out many like over 100 resumes! I have great qualifications and I'm a great person, but there's always someone better than me I guess.

Today I tried pushing myself hard, but I'm just in a huge "Fuck it" mood and just did a 30 minute or so BodyRock workout. And then made up my own little circuit of movements. I won't be working out tomorrow as it's girls night, so this is all going to shit anyway, BUT I am bringing my Wii along which means I actually will be getting my workouts in while play just dance and zumba . Ah well.

I hope everyone is doing better than I am at this!
Off to get ready for work and stuff!
KEEP MOTIVATED

Day 8?

Yesterday my boyfriend was home so working out was like blah. Maybe it's just me, but I like to workout and be alone. I don't like that feeling of being watched, makes me feel like they're laughing at me. It's why I don't like the gym.

Anyway, I did the normal workout, Jillian and Body Rock. Although I'm hitting that part, even after only 8 days where I'm giving up and don't give a shit about this anymore. I'm just in the plain "Fuck It" mood. I don't feel I'm going to get any where doing this, except a sore body in which my body is currently in pain from starting this. I think reason I feel the "Fuck it" is because I have no idea what I'm doing which makes me feel like an idiot. Plus I can't do half of the shit I try to do, which makes me feel more like an idiot.

Maybe today is just a bad day, because today is day 9 and I don't want to do fuck all. I did about 5 minutes of the Jillian Michaels workout and said fuck it ( I sure have a lot to swear about today don't i? ). Maybe it's because I went to bed at 7AM because someone likes to snore so I'm a bit on the grumpy side. I still have to go to work, whenever I get there ( I work alone, cleaning, whatever time I need to go in at after 6, so I'm not going to be purposely late because I work by myself), and I still need to shower ... Overall, it's just not a good day ...

Well, off I go to do Day 9. Maybe.

Unlike me for the day, Try and keep MOTIVATED !

Day 7 !? I thought I was doing this longer!

Alright so it's Day 7! I thought it was day 8, but then I remembered I did miss a day. Either way I feel pretty great! I'm really excited to see the results since I can feel them happening! (I use so many exclamation points, but it shows my excitement! Haha).

Today I got through 20 minutes of Jillian Michaels - Yoga Melt Down, with only a few minor breaks during an exercise. I still cannot do the sun Salutations. I just don't feel I'm to the point yet. I'm still on level 1, so I am hoping that by the end of the month or a little into March I can start to try Level 1 AND 2 together.

With my Yoga Melt down I also start the 30 Day Challenge with BodyRock Tv. 8 exercises, 50 seconds each, as many as you can do! So no need to feel like you have to do 50 sit ups in 50 seconds. I only got through a few! I'm hoping to try some more of their exercises the more I get into this!

My cheat food!

I don't care much for junk food to begin with other than pop and the odd time I like cookies, and I'm not one for fast food that much, there is one place I can always enjoy and never feel guilty about! SUBWAY! It's definitely my favorite lazy day, I don't want to cook, and don't want to slave over a stove kind of day. I don't go all out. I always get an over roasted chicken breast on flat bread. And I usually just get lettuce and mayo. If I have a 12 inch I eat lettuce and mayo on one side and then add pickles and cucumbers on the other. Mainly just to pick it off and eat it when I get home anyway haha .

What I've noticed about myself in the last 7 days of working out, is that craving for sugar foods isn't really there anymore. And if I do I have a little bit of pop. I've also realized that I now crave healthy snack foods, I don't have muxch taste for noodles as much as I used to love them, and I don't eat as many carbs as I use too. I do need to stock my fridge up on the green things to keep the feeling going!

QUICK TIP!
I seen this on my facebook (VIA BodyRocTV) wall and thought it was need to share! :)

Day 6 - Kill Me!

Here we are into Day 6, and I'm going to be honest, today I couldn't even make it half way through the yoga melt down today! Everything is hurting! Especially my legs and my core (?). I need to find something that helps with my arms, but maybe the other Jillian Michaels video does more of that. I mean the toga melt down you do use you hands a lot, but I'm not very strong yet to be standing on my hands for so long, my wrist are hurting a lot. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? But anyway I need to find something that strength trains my arms too since I'm working on my legs so much in the last week.

I defiantly notice today how strong my right side is. There is one particular exercise Jillian does where you are in a lunge almost? with one knee forward and the other one on the ground. You put your hands on the forward knee and push off it while raising the lowered leg just barely off the ground. The right side is so easy, but the left side, I can barely hold it for 5 seconds and she hols it for about 15-25 seconds.

Since it is day 6 only missing one day of doing this, I'm trying to set myself goal to working out 6 - 7 days a week.  I am noticing my legs are becoming tighter, and I can feel the difference in them. It feels awesome! With my core I can feel the difference becoming tighter and tighter. Although I can feel my tummy becoming more flabby, I'm assuming this is normal for it to feel like that before I actually start shredding off the access fat and building the muscle. I can feel the muscles becoming tighter in my core, which feels great! Definitely helps for that push of motivation that I will eventually tighten my tummy after all these years! And I do have quite a bit of years to shred off!

Because I did cheap on out my workout today, I am hopefully going to switch over from Jillian to Body Rock. They have this little circuit training challenge. It consists of 8 exercises, what seem pretty simple but for doing it for the first may be pretty hard. You keep track of your progress  with a sheet they provide online, or I'm just going to write it down myself in my book. You do as much as you can each exercise for 50seconds and the  more you do it the more you're able to do. So hopefully after some cleaning I will try this challenge out and do it daily along with the Jillian Michaels DVDs.

Oh! I also notice that my tummy feels quite tender, like all the fat part of my tummy is tender. I'm not sure if that is normal, but I will look into that and see.

Only a few more months until that nice beautiful sun weather comes along!  Let's see how in shape I can get!

I think I might start doing little food blogs on what I eat. I'm not on some crazy diet, I eat what I would normally but in smaller portions, I've cut out adding salt to my foods since most food I eat has a lot of salt. But, with my eggs I pour a small amount in the lid and then put it over my eggs. That way I can control how much actually goes on instead of just dumping an awful amount on there.

What I have also noticed with my eating is I have always, always been a sugar addict! And since starting to work out I don't really crave the sugars as much, and when I do want some pop I only have one small , half a glass and barely drink it. I also don't really crave chocolate as much. I've always had bad eating habits with junk food, but it was more with cookies and chocolate, I've never really liked chips and dip and all that stuff. I mean, when we have those odd girly nights and there's chips and stuff, I'm guilty, I eat it. But chocolate is my junk food weakness.

I have made this too long and I'm sure bored someone to death! So I'll see what more exercise I get done today and tomorrow and add it in!
My thoughts are never in order, always scrambled! HAHA

Happy Exercising :)

Body Rock Tv!

What is Body Rock Tv? I just heard of it about a year ago through my fiance's sister. It's pretty sweet actually! And unlike Jillian Michael's site you don't have to pay for anything! UNLESS you want to order the things they use, but even then body rockers post ways to get it cheaper or make them yourself!

That's another cool thing about it, you can blog you progress and stories on their site if you don't want to make your own like I have. Chances are, more people will see it that way ahah.

You can find some sweet recipes, success stories, and some pretty hard work outs all in this site. And they even have a work out sheet for this month to help you know what to do, like what work outs to do each day.

Some months they ever have "30 Day Challenges". They have one going right now, so go on and try it !!

I think the only down fall to this for me is just the lay out of the site really. But that's just me it's a great site anyway!

Here's the link! (Don't worry it's a safe link! :)  )

 BODY ROCK TV!

You can also find them on youtube by searching body rock tv!

Hope someone reads this and does some of them , I will be eventually !

:)

Day 5.

Last night I still didn't get much sleep with someone who likes to snore, but I was up at about 6AM anyway. I found my way to the couch to try and catch some more ZzZz's BUT that little voice in your head that likes to remind you of stressful situations when you want to sleep just kept talking, so I was up! I watched TV for a bit had about 4 tall glasses of chocolate milk and decided to work out.

I'm still trying to get through the full 16 minute yoga video (Jillian Michaels Yoga Melt Down), it's hard when you have never really worked out in your life but I'm slowly getting through it. Right now I find it hardest to do the Sun Salutations at the end. But it will improve.

When I am going through these workouts I kind of tweek it so I can do it if I find it hard. I try it the way Jillian does it, but I'm space restricted at the moment and just starting out I have no idea what I'm doing to be honest haha.. I can feel the burn regardless. Even right now I'm still feeling it!

And I've noticed that I must work harder on my right side, being as my right side has always been my stronger side. Even though I'm left handed all I do is eat and write with it everything else I do right handed. When doing the workouts I can feel my left side working hard and I can tell it's weaker because it shakes more. Am I the only person that notices this about themselves? ahah. I also know what parts of my body can handle pain better such as a piecing or a tattoo.  My life side is a breeze with piercings and my right side can handle tattoos better. But I guess that's good to know right. Lol.

If you know Jillian Michaels (Which I don't know who wouldn't!), then you know she's all about keeping keeping that core tight and engaged the whole workout, and boy can I feel it after a workout! It's a great feeling!

Even after only 5 days I can still feel the inside improvements!  But getting impatient for the outside ones! But stick to a half hour workout everyday and start making them longer each week I should see some kind of result in a month or so, right? Lets hope!

The first week I started it was what I could handle, plus my just dance songs, this week it's been at least a half hour plus the just dance songs.

So next week I'm going to make them longer each day! So today I did about 30 minutes, so tomorrow I'm going to try my hardest for an hour and then so on. I repeatedly said I have no idea what I'm doing, and I don't! I'm just making shit up as I go to be honest. I'm doing what is fun and exciting and keeps my interest the longest since I give up so easy with boring workouts ( and for me that was the "skinny bitch " work outs ). I'm going to maybe find a way to add in my hand/leg weights. ALSO ! I'm going to start doing the Body Rock work outs after a few weeks of doing what I'm now and then switch back and forth and eventually maybe set a final routine!

I'm going to make a separate blog about Body Rock Tv!
Take Care ! :)

Skinny Bitch.

I've posted so much today, but that's okay because it's Sunday and I have not much to do other than clean the house... and well that didn't go to far.

I have however been doing some "exercise" at times when I've gotten board. |

So I tried the Skinny Bitch DVD again. I now remember why I didn't like it. There's so much talking! And I mean a lot of talking it gets boring when you just want to pop in the DVD and get going and not have to skip over almost 5 minutes of talking. That's why I like Jillian's DVDs there's talking but during the workout not just standing there before getting to the workout. I also didn't like this because they don't really explain things, they just jump into, and for someone like me who is just starting out you can imagine how extremely frustrating this is when you don't have the slightest clue what you are doing. I'm just saying if anyone who makes workout videos, it will be a huge selling point if you have the step-by-step instruction option!

Today I can feel my body getting tight, which I like! Only after 4 days and I can physically feel the change. I can't wait to actually see it too. I'm going to have to start going for runs once I get my ipod music updated and on my ipod again. Right now I just have all my besties playlists.

I'm out for the night 12AM.
Happy exercising ! :)

Some Great Tips!

I was browsing Facebook and came across this article via "The Washington Post" app. I think it's pretty smart! Although the one about leaving some pop on your bedside to help wake you in the morning doesn't make much sense to me since I've always understood that pop makes you more drowsy. But here are the tips. (I've posted the link and also copied the page just in case the link does not work or you don't have facebook)!

"You're late to work, again. No matter how much you reason with yourself, your lateness is

probably due to the fact that you couldn't get out of bed. It's always unpleasant to drag

yourself out of bed, so here are some tips to help you wake up alert and get you out of bed quickly:

Assess your health. Your drowsiness in the morning might be health-related. Perhaps you need

a better diet and exercise plan or maybe you have sleep apnea. If you've been doing everything

right, go to a doctor for an expert opinion.

Coffee on your bedside table. This is for extreme cases, but leaving some coffee or another

caffeinated drink like Mountain Dew on your bedside table might be a good way to get

yourself out of bed.

Place your alarm clock strategically. If you place your alarm clock across the room or outside

your door, this might force you walk to the clock to shut it off.

Read on for more tips.

Get an alarm clock that lights up. You can mimic waking up naturally with this BioBrite
Sunrise Clock ($134). This alarm clock will gradually glow brighter and brighter and will act
like your own mini sunrise. You will no longer be jerked awake by jarring noises with this
clock. BioBrite also has a cheaper version for $90.

Don't drink caffeine or alcohol the night before. It takes a while for caffeine and alcohol to
get out of your system so for a better night's sleep, refrain from imbibing these liquids the
night before.

Smelling salts. Smelling salts have been reviving people for hundreds of years, but you don't
have to smell something distasteful. Put a bottle of a pleasant-smelling essential oil like
orange, grapefruit, or mint next to your bed to sniff in order to shake yourself out of a
groggy state

Train yourself. Instead of forcing yourself to wake up, train yourself to react instantly by practicing the motions of waking up. During the day, turn your lights off and practice jumping out of the bed as soon as your alarm goes off. Do this repeatedly twice a day for about 10 times until it feels automatic."

AGAIN I found this VIA Washington Post on Facebook (Click here for Link! :) )
I hope you find this interesting like I do and maybe try a few of them!
Take care ! :)

YOGA _ Protect you knees!

Here is just something I came across on my YouTube home page. I also follow her. Give her a look at she's got some great helpful videos!

Happy Exercise ! :)

What do I use?

In my first post I mentioned that I don't like going to the gym like most people. So what exactly do I use on my daily routines?

Well I use a few tools that I just kind of picked up here and there. Here are some photos of what I use!

What do you guys use at home? Any tips and tricks? Let me know ! :)

Here is there Yoga. There are two levels and right now I'm obviously on level 1. Never doing yoga before it's a bit hard on me, even just the level one. But this isn't normal yoga, she gets you moving to help shred the fat faster, and boy can you feel it !
Each day I am getting a little further then the day before. I gave up today, but then pushed myself to keep on going!

I haven't tried this one yet, but I have watched it just to get an idea of what I'll be doing. I'm glad that I didn't just jump right into this! I'll be working my way up to this eventually. Perhaps in the next month I'll give it a shot. I also don't have much room in my current living space. So I will have to make some room, go to my mom's or wait until the new place.
What I don't like is it says there's a meal plan included. I didn't get anything in the DVD, but it's online and from what I read and "signed up" for you actually have to pay for it. Which kind of sucks that they don't put that on the DVD.

Above: Obviously just a view of my DVDs and my weights and my red Special K* yoga mat!

To the Right: These are my 5lbs hand weights that I haven't used just yet, but you can also ad them to your legs to ad resistance. This how ever did come with a weight training guide. I misplaced it, but it was pretty cool they included it to give ideas on how to use them in different ways!
This DVD I bought a few years ago I think when I first tried getting into some kind of shape. It wasn't very successful since I gave up so easily. So I will be trying this again soon!
And this here is the Ab Circle. My mom had bought it a few years ago too, but she didn't really liked it and just recently gave it to me if I could find any use for it. And well ... I don't really see how anyone can get much exercise out of it. Plus, the knee pads broke and so did the counter, and it also not all that stable, even with all the pins and things in place it still wabbles and turns if you put too much weight on one side.
So, I don't know if this will be anything other than just something to fool around with, with my friends.

Day Four!

Today I feel like crap because I got to sleep at about 3AM because of a snoring hubby and a twitchy, snoring, cat! I woke up at 2PM so I felt groggy.

I didn't really eat much of a breakfast let alone something good. HAHA. I snacked on a few maple cookies and a small glass of Dr.Pepper. Two of my weaknesses. I should probably go and make some real food after this!

Today my "workout" wasn't all too much. My Wii batteries died so no Just Dance 2 for me. What I did do was try some yoga. I did the Jillian Michaels Yoga Shred. Since I haven't really ever worked out, I'm finding it a bit hard to stick through the entire workout, so right now I do what I can handle. Plus when I woke up this morning I didn't feel too hot so I wasn't in for a long workout anyway.

It was also the first day I actually pushed myself. I started to work out but I started to give up when my body started hurting. I turned off my Xbox and watched TV. So as I sat there with my kitty on my lap, I thought to myself  " You really want this, but how are you going to get any where if you give up just like this " and I got off the couch and turned that Xbox right back on and worked out for a bit longer and pushed myself. I feel good.

There's only one thing I hate about Yoga and that's because I wear glasses. So when you're in downward dog and you try to look up to make sure you're doing it right or to see what else they are adding on, your glasses either fall off or they sit at the edge of your nose.

Like I said, I wasn't feel good this morning. I'm going to guess that this is one of a few things or more. Either it's because I'm getting into adding exercise to my life and my body isn't use to it, it's because I didn't really eat anything good, or just because I have the flu and slept in a bit.

Here's to finding a new me (and you) this year!
:D

DAY THREE!

Hello!
So today was actually day 4 for me, but I forgot to write day 3!

I believe I started my day with 3 eggs scrambled and a glass of V8 Peach Mango Juice. Which is actually pretty good! So good that even my 2 year old nephew loved it and we actually drank the whole bottle together yesterday. HAHA.

Anyways, I think all I did on Day 3 was my 6 songs, 2000 sweat a day, Just Dance 2 "workout". I can't remember if I did anymore than that.

So far, even though it isn't much, I can feel the burn in my body. I actually have a bit more energy when I wake up before 2PM. (Yay for snoring hubby's and twitchy, snoring cat!).

I'm slowly trying to get my eating habits into a good one. Although I feel I can still eat you know, normal actual food with right proportions and less of the sugary fats.

I don't see any improvements just  yet, but I can definitely feel the changes within my body!

Day Two !

Today started out like a normal day, did some running around and then came home put things way and decided to get a move on the "Dance Floor". Haha.

I haven't made much change into my diet yet, mainly because I'm tight on cash so it's just the main basics aha. But I've cut the pop out to one cup a day at dinner and drinking more water. I also picked up some of the V8 juice. This week I'm trying Peach Mango. I'll let you know how that taste!

As my workout I use the "Just Dance 2"

for the Wii ! I did the normal 6 songs a day since my "sweat goal" is 2000 sweats a day! But because I was feeling it I also decided to try the Zumba for the Wii. I have done Zumba classes before and love them, but I just wasn't feeling this game right form the start. So I'll play it some more, maybe I will lean to like it as it goes! After about 3 minutes of that I switched over to my Jillan Michaels DVDs. I tried the Yoga shred one. I accomplished about a minute or so off that! YEEOOCCHH ! So I will add this in each day until I get use to it!

I feel great after my mini workouts! And I say mini because they are not very long right now. But already I feel like I have more energy and feel good about myself! My arms hurt from yesterday and today. My legs are feeling it now too.

So I would say so far I'm doing pretty good! And I do them before  have to go to work so I'm up and already moving, I only clean for a few hours but I still have that energy!

Well I'm out! Definitely looking forward to some results, if any, haha!

A New Year !

Hello to anyone who might read this/ (HAHA).
Like many people, my NYR was to lose some weight and get a little more in shape. I know for a fact that I am very out of shape, and for my age I shouldn't be this out of shape!

I'm a 21 year old female, I'm 167LBS and 5' 3". I find myself easily out of breathe, I have no energy to do anything I always feel drained, and I'm starting to feel a bit more lumpy than I use too!

All my life I have always struggle with that little pudgy tummy. I can remember when it first started to bother me. I was in grade 6 and it was my day to share a cool story that I had done that weekend, which was my dad showed me how when you mix candy stix with pop it explodes. In grade 6 it's exciting okay! HAHA. But I was standing in front of the class ( already having issues with speaking in front of people) and I was wearing this tight blue t-shirt and a girl who I was friends with said out loud " haha look at your little buddah belly ". That comment has stuck with me forever! And I've always have this little pudgy belly. I've weight the same for the last 4 years,  giving and taking some here and there throughout the years.

I also deal with depression and high anxiety, and anyone who deals with one and or both knows that motivation to do anything can be really difficult, even if it's something  you really want to get at. I have medication to help keep this under control, but I am horrible with remembering to take any kind of pill daily.

Personally I am the kind of person that would would rather work out at home, because lets be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing and looking like a tool in my own home is totally okay. HAHA. Plus I just find it more comfortable to be in an area I love to be in.

All my life my eating habits have been horrible! My parents both worked a lot so it was often take out and easy to make things filled with fat and salt. But hey, I wasn't complaining! Even now that I live on my own my eating habits are still pretty bad. And my depression often gets the best of my eating habits, I also think I'm probably addicted to the sugars and definitely salt is my main thing! While it's not so much cookies, candy, and chocolate I  have a problem with dark pops, and eating three meals a day that are healthy!

My plan, I don't really have a weight goal at all. I just want to do something active and feel good about myself.

I have a bunch of the Wii fit games, the just dance games, which you are able to pick "sweat goals" ahah, I have Zumba, and I also have some Jillan Michaels DVDs. So I'm pretty pumped.

My first Day which was yesterday, I just did the 6 "sweat off" songs and that was about it!

Well, this is all for my "intro", ahaha. I will be writing almost daily to report progress for my own personal interest of keeping track of it. But, if by chance someone who is also starting out new Follow me and I'll follow back! Would be awesome to talk with people who are doing the same !
:)
